Our client in the Pittsburgh area, a well known heavy hitter in the Oil & Gas Industry, is looking for a Revenue Accountant.
This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on policies, controls, and procedures related to revenue accounting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Working knowledge of gas balancing, pipeline imbalances, division of interest maintenance
• Understanding of financial forecasting
• Experience handling royalty owner inquiries
• Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Duties:
• Compile and analyze detailed revenue information. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Finance management.
• Administer daily production in Enertia oil and gas software including the set up and maintenance of all allocations and distributions.
• Analyze and explain production variances and work with third party gatherers and internal production team to resolve any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the internal marketing team to ensure accurate gas purchase statements and allocations.
• Obtain, track, and analyze non-operated production data to ensure all HBP leases are maintained in accordance with each lease provision to avoid losing any leases.
• Obtain monthly sales revenues and accrual information, assist with balance sheet reconciliations, and provide internal and external reporting requirements as necessary.
• Manage timely and accurate payments and distribution of all royalty owner payments on a monthly basis. Address and resolve inquiries from royalty owners.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements related to production and revenue including the support of any audits or reviews.
• Prepare and analyze daily midstream production and provide monthly customer invoices.
• Reconcile and report daily upstream production.
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Review organizational billing practices to ensure invoice accuracy and proper revenue recognition.
• Monitor business operations, trends, financial commitments, and economic conditions to use in revenue forecast analyses.
