Project Manager / Construction Manager


This is a Full-time position in Pittsburgh, PA posted May 3, 2021.

Position Overview
The Safety and Compliance Manager works in partnership with Omicelo LLC and Omicelo Construction group to ensure that residential housing programs and project construction are consistent and fit for purpose while following all appropriate safety protocols and meeting both external and internal project requirements.

This includes construction safety compliance with legal requirements and standards set by regulatory bodies.

The Manager will coordinate and supervise the creation and enforcement of quality standards and provide quality audits and compliance checks for construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
Review, update and expand the company’s safety procedures, standards, and specifications?

related to construction and program management Review and fully understand legal, funder, contractual and customer requirements and make sure they are met?

Work across Omicelo’s business lines to establish consistent safety and quality requirements from internal employees to external contractors and vendors?

Set standards for quality in process, programming, training, construction execution and all applicable health and safety issues?

QA/QC for Omicelo Construction Group and Omicelo Fund construction projects Ensure program processes meet all legal and contractual standards?

Establish and maintain controls and documentation procedures?

Set PPE standards and create PPE inventory Establish safety protocol for subcontractors and vendors Define safety and quality benchmarks and monitoring with the Omicelo Compliance and Safety Committees Lead safety committee including record keeping of the meetings, reporting on safety issues/priorities and results of monitoring Monitor trainings and safety incidents by gathering relevant data and producing appropriate reports?

Make sure projects are running as safely as possible?including setting training topics, making site visits and educating project staff Evaluate product field performance and reliability and recommend corrective and preventive actions?

Create infrastructure resources and associated budgets necessary to perform the functions of the safety program Implement follow-up strategies to ensure complete resolution of safety and quality problems?

Work closely with external auditors to ensure all appropriate documentation and safety/compliance standards are available Respond to emergent and evolving safety policy, practice and training needs.

Key Skills
Deep understanding of residential construction Outstanding communication skills in written and verbal formats Organizational planning Detail oriented Ability to highlight the benefits as well as the consequences of non-compliance to compel adherence to regulations Mentoring and teaching including translation of complex materials in a format that is understandable and compelling Ability to develop and implement compliance strategies effective for improving workplace performance.

Leadership both in the development and implementation of policy, process and procedure Ability to inspire and manage a multi-disciplinary team
