PC Tech Support Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is seeking qualified candidates for a contract to hire opportunity for a PC Technical Support Analyst role with a client in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area. This role offers an environment for long term employment and skills growth with some of the best benefits in the area once converted to hire. In this role you will work as part of a small PC technical support/help desk operations team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deploy and maintain computing resources to client usually: Laptops, Desktops, Desk phones, etc.
  • Field calls to the helpdesk, entering the requests into the Helpdesk Ticketing system, troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Assist users with day to day questions via phone and helpdesk ticketing system
  • Provide technical assistance, support and advice to users with respect to hardware, software and networking problems by answering telephone calls, analyzing problems using diagnostic programs and resolving recurrent problems
  • Provide support for other Information Systems activities as requested by department head

The client is looking for hands on experience in areas aligned to role. This role will start onsite for 3 weeks to ramp up and train then convert 80% to work from home until the pandemic situation stabilizes. At this stage it will be a 5 day work onsite position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of IT technical support experience
  • Completion of extensive coursework in information systems, networking and other relevant areas, or any equivalent combination of education and experience; Microsoft MTA (Windows Client) certification strongly preferred
  • Experience and knowledge base with MSFT OS, MSFT Office, Active Directory, general Networking knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative, to work with a team and to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines
