Jobcorps: Overnight Residential Advisor


This is a Full-time position in Pittsburgh, PA posted April 10, 2021.

Overnight Residential AdvisorJob SummaryProvides safe, supportive and predictable environment in dormitory supervision of Job Corps students in their daily activities, monitoring their progress in attaining performance contract goals and objectives and utilizing behavior management and consistent Core Value driven practices.

Must be able to work evening or overnight shift, including weekend/holiday hours (not live in).

PM19Responsibilities and Duties1.

Ensures students meet required schedule, waking on time and arriving on time for school or work assignments2.

Provides daily supervision or assistance in monitoring students in personal hygiene, room/chose assignments, and other activities3.

Ensures students are adequately prepared for training day.4.

Documents student records according to all requirements.5.

Prepares applicable reports and completes all required computer student documentation.6.

Facilitates small and large groups in areas such as life skills, peer mediation, conflict resolution.7.

Ensure cleanliness of the dorms as we are inspection ready at all times by assisting students with details regarding laundry and mopping floors.8.

All other duties as assigned.9.

Qualifications and SkillsMust have High School Diploma or G.E.D.Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.Must have experience working with at risk youth.Must be able to work evenings or overnight shift, that includes working weekends.Competitive wage with shift differential and paid-time off!Benefits and PerksYou would not only have a great and dedicated team to work with, but we offer a competitive wage as well as a shift differential.
