Your work will have real-world impact, and you’ll be supported in achieving your career goals.Location/Division Specific InformationUS Remote (Pittsburgh) / Corporate AccountsHow will you make an impact?The Corporate Accounts Sales Operations Manager will support the continued development and implementation of the Corporate Accounts data analytics and insights strategy and lead the operational support for foundational programs for the Corporate Accounts Team. This role will report directly to our Director of Sales Operations & Customer Experience and partner closely with a variety of commercial and business functions. The ideal candidate will exude zeal for innovative thinking, show passion for actionable insight development and have strong business acumen blended with excellent technical skills.What will you do?* Lead management of commercial insight programs and support development of new data analytics to inform account strategies, identify unrealized opportunities, and create commercial actions to accelerate growth.* Be intensely focused on providing meaningful insights via synthesis of large amounts of data into concise, actionable findings.* Maintain and enhance programs such as Share of Wallet Tool, Account Selection, Account Prioritization and Partnership Account Plan.* Gather and share “best practices” with commercial leaders to support proliferation of impactful use and moving strategy to action.* Continue to innovate new analytics to support development of broader commercial solution plays and better-informed account management.* Develop robust data management strategies in partnership with IT to ensure data security and program scalability.* Develop and deliver relevant, impact training and on-going support to commercial team.* Drive improvement strategies and plans to maximize commercial impact and drive operational excellence.* Manage the of commercial variable compensation plans and recognition programs (e.g. Center of Excellence or COE)* Lead the development, implementation, communication, and support of sales commission plans and rewards program – to include annual review of plan design, plan documents, MBO goals and calendarization – in collaboration with commercial leaders.* Manage the payment calculations, approvals, payment documentation and payment process for participating sales professionals.* Educate and train the sales team on how their compensation plans and recognition programs work.* Calculate and report quarterly sales commission accrual to finance partners.* Manage and resolve escalation issues, as needed.* Support segment leaders with compensation analysis as needed or requested.* Support other ad hoc assignments or reporting as needed.How will you get here?* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a discipline requiring extensive analytical skills.* 5+ years sales analysis/operations, data science or finance experience.* Strong background in analytics.* Experience managing sales compensation plans.* Experience working with a commercial organization preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities* Demonstrated ability to solve challenges through a combination of business acumen and data intelligence.* Intellectually curious including asking the right questions for a deeper understanding.* Strong process orientation, excellence in collaboration and the ability to influence team members in a cross-functional environment are keys for success.* Ability to think critically and solve problems that are aligned with business objectives and strategic vision.* Ability to lead projects and initiatives.* Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills (both verbal and written).* Excellence in developing and delivering presentations with complex concepts to non-technical audiences.* A team player with a bias for action and driving projects to fruition.* Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including VPs, directors, managers, subject matter experts and end-users.* Technical experience in the following areas is required:* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power BI* Knowledge of statistical methods* Proven ability & desire to learn new platforms* Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM preferred* Ability to travel up to 25%* Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue exceeding $25 billion.
