Senior Account Director

This is a Full-time position in Pittsburgh, PA posted March 23, 2021.

As a Senior Director, you’ll provide leadership to your team in the development and execution of direct response multi-channel fundraising strategies.

You’ll establish the overall strategic direction for your client group and hold strong relationships with clients’ organizational leaders.

With broad and deep experience in direct marketing, Senior Directors set the tone for serving the clients and own the functionality of their internal teams.

We’ll rely on your leadership qualities as you work on continual growth and development of your team members
– and on the cultivation of relationships throughout the entire agency.n n Essential Functions:n n Big Picture Itemsn n Own your account group.

This means you know your account team members and know how to lead and support them for their growth and success.

You will provide input and help them receive training in areas that are needed.

Their success is your success!n Own your group’s income projections.

You will be vitally involved in supervising development of the client’s annual budgets, and then translating that into agency income projections.n Own the function and strategic direction of your account group.

Develop and vet annual plans and be actively involved in assuring that specialists from Strategy/Analytics, Creative, and Media (Digital, Broadcast, Print, etc.) have all provided input that is being wisely used in the development of client planning.n Own senior level relationships within the agency.

You will communicate frequently up to senior level team members regarding opportunities and challenges with clients
– from billing issues to expansion of the business, to challenges and opportunities with team members.

Own the growth of your account group.

This means organic growth of current accounts, and involvement with RFPs and pitches for new accounts as assigned by your supervisor.n Specific Itemsn n While the following list of External and Internal facing responsibilities is not exhaustive it will give you a more concrete sense of what is expected as a Senior Account Director.n n Interprets and creates recommendations gained through understanding the Donor Health Index and other analytics tools provided by the Strategy/Analytics team for the growth of clients.

Actively participates and guides discussion in internal planning sessions where input is gained from agency leaders’ respective areas
– regarding strategic direction to achieve client growth objectives.

Advises Account Directors as they develop clients’ annual plan according to strategic direction, goals and budget as established in planning sessions with clients.

Provides insights and final approval of clients’ growth plans, strategy, testing plans and pro formas.

Provides guidance and direction to Client Services team on ongoing and specific client communication.

Is a trusted advisor to clients Attends high-level client planning meetings which may be quarterly
– depending on client and agency need.

Strategizes with Creative, Data, Analytics, and Media leadership to develop new product offerings.

Communicates openly and often with team members and broader agency group regarding client current events and upcoming strategic initiatives.

Helps Account Director manage clients’ expectations based on realistic scope and timelines that allow the agency to work according to established high standards.

Partners with agency leaders to ensure execution of work is being managed efficiently
– evaluating and updating client-specific service processes.

Mentors and coaches Account Directors as well as monitor development/training of entire client service team(s) to achieve success and grow in their career paths.

Holds weekly one-on-ones with Account Directors.

Completes annual performance reviews for all assigned team members.

Participates in weekly team meetings.

Monitors and reports on TSM sales versus budget.

Manage client teams to follow up and monitor Account Receivables.

Manage appropriate outside vendor strategic partnerships.

Supports new business opportunities with content for RFPs and pitches in coordination with new business director.
