Manager, Diversity & Inclusion will work across the enterprise to develop strategies and programs that cultivate and strengthen Employee Resource Groups/Business Resource Groups (B/ERG) around the world and positions Thermo Fisher Scientific as a great place to work, grow and belong.

You will help develop, execute, and manage diversity and inclusion outreach initiatives and key partnerships that help position the company as an employer of choice.The ideal candidate is passionate about diversity and inclusion and has experience in leading, managing, and coordinating Employee Resource Groups for a large, global, highly-matrixed organization.

The candidate is an energetic, results-oriented and resourceful individual who is capable of quickly taking control of their responsibilities and establishing themselves as a credible strategic partner.

You will be asked to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment and must have a demonstrated track record of managing multiple concurrent projects and driving them to completion using project/program management tools.

You will also need to be highly collaborative and able to influence without authority, while also being able to work with significant autonomy.**What will you do?**+ Energize, engage and support B/ERGs in efforts to deepen a sense of belonging, community and inclusion both within their groups and across the enterprise+ Develop and execute an innovative, comprehensive, high-impact B/ERG strategy that integrates voice of the B/ERGs, enterprise structure, business strategy and leadership engagement in order to advance a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce.+ Partner and provide guidance and consultation to Global B/ERG leaders and B/ERG Pillar leaders to support B/ERG strategies, programs and initiatives+ Partner with Group D&I Directors to ensure B/ERGs are aligned to business strategy and opportunities+ Assist in the development and implementation of annual B/ERG strategic plans and budgets aligned with D&I strategy.+ Collaborate and build relationships with ERG executive sponsors, to ensure success of B/ERGs+ Develop and manage B/ERG metrics dashboard to share, measure, and promote B/ERG progress+ Work in concert with D&I champions (those in HR and others working on D&I efforts) to build a strong internal and external reputation as a great place to work for all and cultivate a strong external network of appropriate D&I connections.+ In collaboration with Talent Acquisition, manage external partnerships (eg.

NSBE, SWE, Disability-IN, etc.) that support diverse recruitment strategies and employer branding opportunities; coordinate enterprise approach and engagement+ Partner with Corporate Responsibility on D&I outreach initiatives+ Work in collaboration with executive leaders, HR leadership, talent acquisition, and others on identifying and minimizing the impact of any potential systematic barriers and maximize the impact of diversity and inclusion.+ Identify, develop, and foster relationships with industry thought leaders, professional diversity organizations, and community partners to strengthen and expand our brand value and talent attraction.+ Engage in the identification of diversity and inclusion best practices and benchmarks as input to designing next in class DEI programs+ Drive cultural change in support of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s ability to attract and retain world-class diverse talent and to be responsive to customer’s needs.+ Leverage impactful internal and external communications channels to elevate the importance of diversity and inclusion and position Thermo Fisher as an employer of choice to attract top talent+ Generate insights through information and analytics to guide actions; establish processes to monitor progress through clearly articulated, measurable goals and objectives.+ Partner with B/ERG leaders and executive sponsors to plan and execute annual B/ERG Summit+ Exhibit energy and passion to interface effectively with employees at all levels, work collaboratively and partner with purpose**How will you get here?****Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:**+ BA/BS in business management, business analysis, organizational development, or a related degree+ 3-5 years of talent management, change management, program management, org development and or other related experience, with at least (3) years at the management+ Experience in leading, managing, and coordinating Employee Resource Groups for a large, global, highly-matrixed organization+ A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to engage team, peers, and management.+ Influences others without direct authority to achieve solutions to meet organization’s objectives, and is proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues and overcoming hurdles to results.

Effectively collaborates with partners to resolve.+ Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation)**Preferred Hiring Criteria**+ Masters degree in business management, business analysis, organizational development, or a related degree+ 3-5 years of experience in D&I-related work+ Understanding of the life sciences/scientific work environment is preferred.**Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria**+ Bachelors degree (minimum)+ Has experience managing Employee Resource Groups and/or has held a leadership position within an ERG(s)+ Has an ability to connect with people with diverse viewpoints, actively listen, coach and influence to drive toward common goals+ Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrated strength in planning, organizing, and delivering multiple projects and tasks with aggressive deadlinesThermo Fisher Scientific Inc.
